1. In short
The first time you open hispoke.com, you are asked. Until you answer, nothing is placed on your machine beyond what the page needs to render itself. If you say no, nothing happens - the site works exactly as before, and you are not asked again for a year.
2. Necessary
Your answer is stored in your browser's local storage under the name hispoke_consent. It holds three things: which version of the question you answered, when you answered, and what you said yes and no to. It is never sent to me or anyone else - the page reads it itself every time you come back. It expires after 12 months, and you are asked again. This needs no consent, because the site cannot remember your no without it.
3. Statistics
Vercel Web Analytics counts how many people open each page. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your machine. It sees which page you opened, where you came from, which country you are in, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. No profile is built, and two visits cannot be linked across days. I cannot see who you are.
4. Marketing
Meta's pixel sets the cookies _fbp and _fbc. They give your browser a random id that Meta can recognise if you are also signed in to Facebook or Instagram. The purpose is to measure whether an ad actually leads to a purchase. If you buy, I also send the purchase to Meta from my own server - that is called the Conversions API, and it is the same information sent a different way. Both happen only if you said yes to Marketing. If you say no, the pixel is never fetched, and nothing is sent from the server either.
5. What Meta is told about a purchase
That a licence was bought for 479.20 DKK excluding VAT, which page the purchase happened on, your random pixel id and your IP address. I do not send your email address. Meta is the data controller for its own use of that information; you can read about it at facebook.com/privacy/policy. The transfer to the US relies on the European Commission adequacy decision, which Meta has joined.
6. Change your mind
You can withdraw your yes as easily as you gave it. Every single page has Cookies at the bottom - click it, and you get the question again. Untick Marketing and the pixel stops being fetched immediately, and Meta cookies are removed from your browser the next time a page loads. You can also clear everything yourself in your browser settings.
