Hold the key. Speak. It’s written.
hiSpoke lives in your Mac’s menu bar. Hold fn, say what you want to write, release — your words are cleaned up and inserted at the cursor. In Mail, browsers, Slack, VS Code, Word.
One-time purchase · Lifetime license · Your own OpenAI key
Three steps, no windows
You never leave the app you’re working in.
Hold the key
Hold fn (or right Option) — anywhere. A discreet pill shows live audio level. The microphone is only on while you hold the key.
Speak
Say what you want to write — Danish or English, at your own pace. Or ask a question, or set a reminder.
Release
Your text gets punctuation, paragraphs and obvious fixes — your words and tone are kept — and lands at the cursor. Your clipboard is restored afterwards.
One key, three things
No extra shortcuts to remember. hiSpoke hears the intent in your first words.
Dictation
Say: "Hi Michelle, I’ll send the deck first thing tomorrow …"
The default. Clean, finished text right where your cursor is.
hiSpoke AI
Say: "Hey hiSpoke, what’s the capital of Australia?"
The answer appears in a small panel — without leaving your app.
Reminders
Say: "Remind me to call mom tomorrow at 9"
hiSpoke extracts the text and time from your sentence — and alerts you when it’s due.

No servers. No middleman.
hiSpoke has no servers and never sees your content. Your speech goes directly to OpenAI through your own key — it’s you and OpenAI, no middleman. Your history and settings stay on your Mac.
Want everything to stay on the machine? A local mode, where your speech never leaves your Mac, is on the roadmap.
What you need
Two things — the app guides you through the rest.
The app’s interface is in Danish. You can dictate in both Danish and English.
One price. The whole app.
Buy once, use forever.
Your OpenAI usage is paid separately to OpenAI — typically a few dollars a month.
On the checkout page you confirm the terms — including that delivery is immediate, which waives your 14-day right of withdrawal.
On the way
Honestly: these aren’t in the app yet — but they’re what’s being built.
Local mode
Transcription on your own Mac — your speech never leaves the machine.
Windows version
Push-to-talk and insertion for Windows.
Integrations
Webhooks for Make, n8n and others — send your speech onwards.
Questions & answers
Do I need ChatGPT Plus?
No — and ChatGPT Plus can’t be used. You need an OpenAI API account with a small balance (~$5). They’re two different things; the API account is created at platform.openai.com.
What does it cost to run?
hiSpoke is a one-time purchase. On top you pay your own OpenAI usage directly to OpenAI — typically a few dollars a month with normal use. The app shows a running estimate.
Which apps does it work in?
Any app with a cursor: Mail, browsers, Slack, VS Code, Word … Text is inserted via the clipboard, and your old clipboard is restored afterwards.
Which languages can I speak?
Danish and English. The app’s interface is in Danish.
Is my speech private?
hiSpoke has no servers and no telemetry. Your speech is sent to OpenAI for transcription — directly, through your own key. History and settings stay on your Mac. A local mode, where nothing leaves the machine, is on the roadmap.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment, lifetime license. The license key lands in your inbox seconds after purchase.
How many devices can I use hiSpoke on?
Your license covers up to 2 of your own Macs. Switching computers? Email support@hispoke.com and we’ll help you out.
Does it work on an Intel Mac?
No. hiSpoke requires a Mac with Apple Silicon — that is, M1 or later.
How do I get started?
Download the app, grant the two permissions, enter your OpenAI key and your license key. Onboarding guides you — it takes a couple of minutes.
